Top 10 Remington Razors (November 2023): Reviews & Buyers Guide

Top 10 Remington Razors (Oct. 2018): Reviews & Buyers Guide

Does your job require employees to be clean-shaven? Did you just meet a new woman who likes a neat, short and trimmed beard? Does your mustache become too bothersome to trim, so you give up and shave it off? I know since I have struggled for years in search of a quick and easy method of shaving. As times change and facial hair goes in and out of style, I have found I need not just a shaver but a grooming tool.

Today facial hair can be worn as a beard, mustache, goat-tee, long sideburns; and some men prefer a clean-shaven face. No matter what your preference is, the time and options for how you keep yourself groomed are important.

Traditionally us men would need to go to a barber shop to get the smooth, super close shave. The barber always uses a hot towel to open the skin’s pores allowing hair to lift more easily out of the skin. Then your barber coats your skin with a cream or foam to alleviate skin pulling and irritation as the blade glides across your face.

Now I agree there is nothing like a professional shave but today, with the advancing technology in electric razors, we at topglobalbrand.com decided to put them to the test. Now let’s see how men’s grooming tools and electric razors can match that barbershop shave. But you also have to know the right way of shaving to get the most out of your electric razor.

The topglobalbrand.com Research Approach

The Team and I at topglobalbrand.com have spent four years reporting, reviewing, researching and testing over 20 different models of the Remington Electric Razor. After more than 55 hours of research, we are ready to unveil our top 10 product selections from the Remington Electric Razor line of products.

Our readers and customers, are just like us, and we considered the different features, options available and effectiveness in our testing process for each. We followed our community-based usage testers, and recorded results while monitoring two months of usage for grooming, shaving and beard trimming.

Our goal is to help our readers select the best quality product for their hair type, skin type, usage needs and budget.

So, before you run out and spend money on another electric razor just to be disappointed with the performance and results later, read our compilation of results and see the electric razor that ranks Number 1 for 2017.

Which Type of Electric Razor is Right for You?

There are 2 basic types of electric shavers on the market – Foil and Rotary.

Understanding your hair and skin needs will help you understand which type of razor will work best for you.

Foil Shaver:

Foil Shavers use blades that move from side to side, covered by a thin mesh foil, which pulls the hair into cut it. You will achieve a closer shave with a Foil shaver, but its design does not allow ease to get the angles and curves of the facial lines.

  • Best for Sensitive Skin
  • More blade speed for a faster shave
  • Achieves a closer shave
  • Suitable for larger areas

Rotary Shaver:

Rotary shavers typically have 3 circular, rotating blades that spin to cut the hair, the 3 blades flex allowing a better reach to the angles and jawline, but you will sacrifice the very close shave feel.

  • Best for Coarse or Thick Hair
  • Quieter than Foil razors
  • Ease and Flexibility to shave around jawline and angles

Things to Consider Before Your Purchase

Asides from price concerns, or foil vs. rotary options, you must also consider how you plan to use your razor. There are two basic options available for shaving -Wet and Dry.

Most Wet models can also work as Dry razors giving you a choice, but if you choose a Dry razor never use it with gels, foams or in the shower.

Remington Electric Razors are available in both Wet/Dry and Dry models. If you are prone to razor burn, bumps and irritation after shaving you may have Sensitive Skin. The Wet/Dry shaver will work better for most because it allows for use in water and with shaving gels and foams to help avoid discomfort and irritation.

Dry Shavers are just as they sound, they must be used dry, are not good for sensitive skin, but are priced lower and more affordable for the budget conscious. Although the Wet/Dry versions are priced slightly higher, many of the models are still reasonably priced, and the use of water allows for easy cleaning.

What to Look for in a Good Remington Electric Razor

When you are purchasing an electric razor, you are looking for the shaving experience to be faster, closer and more convenient than a traditional razor blade and shaving cream. Make sure to choose a Remington electric razor based on your needs and lifestyle.

Do you travel? Then you will want to consider one with a longer battery life and perhaps a convenient travel pouch.

Are you always in a rush running out to work in the morning? Blade Speed and Durability might be top on your list so you can achieve a fast shave on the go or in the car.

Are you a Technology nut, always needing the newest and most advanced product? Some razors today offer LED battery indicators, adjustable speeds and adjustable blade heights for a customized shave experience.

Do you enjoy keeping your mustache, beard or sideburns impeccably trimmed and groomed? Then you may want to look at those shavers with more ergonomic comfort handles and grips.

Closeness, Comfort, and Convenience, Technology, Speed, Battery life, Durability – What is most important to you?!

How We Picked & Tested

After more than a dozen real-world tests on volunteers and consultations with professional barbers, we have found the top 10 Remington Electric Razors on the market today. In the 4 years researching, reporting and updating the topglobalbrand.com guide we have considered over 20 models of Remington Electric Razor and tested most of them.

For almost two months we followed testers, multiple times per week, to monitor the razors operations, technology and construction of product, quality of blades, comfort of grip and handling, user’s ergonomic impressions, battery life and recharge time, ease of cleaning and maintenance, along with men’s results from general touch-ups and trimming tight hard to reach areas.

With all these different areas in mind, we have compiled the list of the best electric shavers on the market.

Now – no shaver is perfect for everyone. Remember you need to pick what works for your hair and skin type. With the wide variety of features included in today’s shavers, everyone looks for something different in why they should buy a particular product over another.

Below I will share the good and bad, Pros and Cons of each Remington electric razor pick and hopefully, this helps you make an informed decision on your next men’s razor and grooming kit purchase.

Our Pick: Remington XR1410 Verso Wet & Dry Men’s Shaver & Trimmer Grooming Kit

Before I share my review of this product, let me tell you why we have chosen the Remington XR1410 Verso Wet & Dry Men’s Shaver & Trimmer Grooming Kit as the topglobalbrand.com Number 1 pick.

Why is this product Our No 1 Pick?

All-in-1 Grooming Solution

Packed with features and accessories, this electric razor offers complete and total solution to every man’s grooming needs, at an affordable price to boot

  1. After testing and comparing thirty-three features across all models tested, the Remington XR1410 Verso Wet/Dry Shaver had the most positive, useful and unique features with the highest reviews and scores in each category as was measured in our report (please see our Full Research Report Online). This rotary shaver performed extremely well due to Remington integrating their HyperFlex and Precision Plus elementsgiving us an efficient shave on short stubble and longer growth, while moving smoothly over the curves and around hard to groom areas.
  2. This product hits the affordability price range for most, coming in at just under $80. If you tried to purchase all the items included individually – five bonus attachments for grooming and the travel case you would be looking at much more money and probably lose some features.
  3. In our online web research, we studied the trend of consumers purchasing electric razors at online retailers and found that most retailers were receiving a frequently high number of positive reviews and sales for the Verso, and at a faster rate, than any of the other models tested. It was consistently rated and reviewed positively after sales. It would receive 10 or more ratings in a day over the course of our study: In the first two days of sales, it received 10 ratings, 2nd day 10 more ratings, 3rd, 10 more ratings, and the trend continued.
  4. Compared to other razors and models tested, the Remington XR1410 Verso had the most consumer friendly and searched for features, Wet/Dry, beard & mustache trimmer, cordless with a rechargeable battery, and with a bonus that includes additional attachments for grooming. A daily skin cleansing brush, a deep scrubbing brush, and special pre-shave prep brush.

Detailed Review:

Remington electric razor: Remington XR1410 Verso Wet & Dry Men's Shaver & Trimmer Grooming KitWe all loved that the Remington Verso XR1410 cannot be beat for the complete and total solution to men’s grooming. Remington has designed a universal power base to easily change between the six attachment heads and brushes without sacrificing on technology or a sleek design; all while keeping an ergonomic comfort grip that allows for comfortable and precise movements while grooming.

The Verso has combined the HyperFlex neck to reach all the awkward angles and contours easily, and with the PrecisionPlus rotary heads, you are ensured a close, smooth shave. We also loved the attachable trimmer with 10 adjustable lengths making mustache, beard and sideburn clean up a breeze.

Also, Remington did not overlook the fact that most razors are in a smooth metallic casing making them slippery and hard to grip in the shower. The Verso has a rubberized comfort grip so wet or dry you are in control.

So if you are not impressed yet….once you have that smooth shave how does your skin look?

Most men do not take time to care for their skin; we splash some soap and water on our faces and out the door we go. But the people at Remington thought of the answer.

We really liked the easy on-off brush heads to help keep your smooth-shaven skin looking great. The grooming heads include a gentle brush for daily cleaning, a charcoal-infused brush head for deep cleaning sweat, oil and dirt; and a pre-shave brush which exfoliates and helps to lift the hairs to ensure that smooth, close shave.

If you have sensitive skin though, all these additional brush heads may not be your best friend. You will want to start with the gentle brush head for the first few days and see how your skin handles it.

For businessmen and frequent travelers, the travel case is included and holds all the attachments, razor and charger. It also uses a Max Lithium Power battery that they claim will give you a 45-minute charge in just four hours; this was one of the downfalls of this model. It does not have a long battery life compared to other razors on the market. Here are some tips on enhancing the battery life of any electric shaver.

Although the Verso may not be best for people with sensitive skin or men looking for a long battery-life it does offer the most features and options at the best price point.

Pros

  • Wet/Dry Razor
  • Easy to clean
  • Attachments for grooming and trimming
  • Travel case
  • Battery Indicator Light
  • A lot of features at a great price

Cons

  • Battery life not as long as others
  • Not best for Sensitive Skin
  • Rotary Blade Height is not adjustable for a customized shave

2nd Best Choice: Remington XR1400 Verso Wet & Dry Men’s Shaver & Trimmer Grooming Kit

product

Remington XR1400 Verso

Power Packed & Affordable

Comparable to the XR1410 in features and performance, this complete grooming kit comes with fewer accessories but at a price that’s more affordable.

The XR1400 is our 2nd Pick; it has the same base features as the No. 1 XR1410, and for most us, the No. 1 top pick and No. 2 was close to a tie for actual shaver performance. The XR1400 comes in at a lower price point, about 30% cheaper than our best pick, making it a more affordable option. In the end, it came down to who thought there was value in the additional features of our No. 1 Pick vs. battery performance and budget.

Detailed Review:

Remington electric razor: Remington XR1400 Verso Wet & Dry Men's Shaver & Trimmer

Battery Life

The quick charging ability and enhanced battery you get in the Remington XR1400 Wet/Dry electric shaver made it a close race for the No. 1 spot. You will need only 4 hours to reach the maximum charge to run cordless for 45 minutes. This model includes a 5-minute quick charge so you can still get in a quick shave on the days you had forgotten to charge your razor. It is not as impressive a feature as being able to run your razor corded or cordless, but a five-minute wait is better than no shave at all for those important meetings or event.

Performance

As seen in the comparative research report, this Remington electric razor performs just as well, with many of the same positive features, though it offers fewer attachments. In online retailer comparisons, it scored well but under the XR1410, receiving positive ratings at a rate of 10 every 2 days verse the XR1410 at 10 per day. Still great consumer sentiment overall.

With XR1400 you get the Remington HyperFlex base and PrecisonPlus triple rotary blades to quickly adjust to contours of your face and neck for a fantastic clean, close shave.

We loved that you lost none of the important features like wet/dry shaving in the shower or out, with or without gels and foams, or the rubberized comfort grip that is ergonomic and fits in your palm.

Included Accessories

The XR1400 comes in at a lower price point, about 30% cheaper than our best pick, making it a more affordable option. You will get included the charcoal-infused scrubbing brush head and an adjustable trimmer with 10 length options. For men prone to razor burn, skin irritations and bumps, XR1400’s included deep cleaning brush head may not be a bonus attachment depending on your sensitive skin issues.

Maintenance & Care

The easy cleaning, snap on-off heads and attachments was also a great convenience for us. The XR1400 Wet/Dry Shaver allows for easy rinsing and cleaning because all the attachments can be run under the water.

Pros

  • Wet/Dry razor
  • Easy to clean
  • Adjustable Full-Size Trimmer
  • Quick Charge Capability
  • Battery Indicator Light
  • Budget-friendly price point

Cons

  • Battery life only average
  • Few Attachments
  • No Travel Case
  • Not best for Sensitive Skin
  • Rotary Blade Height is not adjustable for a customized shave

Affordable with Add-on Features

Powerful battery and performance, durable construction similar to more pricey models, plus complete grooming accessories make this razor more than worth its price

Of all the low-cost budget-friendly Remington electric razor models we tested and researched, this Remington PG6025 All-in-1 offered the most useful and practical features most men look for when shopping for a new shaver.

At this lower price point we were pleased to see some features only available in the higher models with positive and high ratings.

Detailed Review:

Remington electric razor: Remington PG6025 All-in-1 Lithium Powered Grooming KitBattery Performance

For a lower priced model, we were happily surprised that the manufacturer states you can get over an hour, 65 minutes on a full charge, though I only got about 50 minutes of battery life it still beats our more expensive models. The Lithium power rechargeable battery also requires the same or less time to a full charge than some of the more expensive models.

Performance

In the compared rating frequency found in topglobalbrand.com full research report, we see the Remington PG6025 was positively rated at almost the same rate as our No 1 pick, 10 rating each day for the first 2 days and then 10 more in the next two days.

Our budget pick gives you the construction and engineering like that of the higher end models. A durable body and strong medical quality blades, that will re-sharpen internally over time to give you years of quality shaving. This budget pick is an excellent Foil Shaver, best for people with sensitive skin, or shaving larger areas such as the top of your head or chest.

Included Accessories

We all liked how many features you got for such a low cost – a trimmer for nose and ears; clipper attachment with adjustable lengths at 8 different heights, and 3 combs for grooming beards and mustaches. They even threw in the travel bag which you do not usually find in a low-cost razor.

Maintenance & Care

Even though this model is Dry only, all the shaving heads and attachments are removable so it still easy to clean by just removing the shave heads and running attachments under warm water. Do not put the shaver base in or under water as it will cause your unit to stop working.

Pros

  • Low Price
  • Long Battery Life
  • Lots of Accessory/Attachments
  • Good for Sensitive Skin

Cons

  • Not Wet/Dry
  • No Quick Charge Option

This wet and dry razor boasts of quick charging and good battery life, surgical-quality steel blades for smooth shave, and combined features of rotary and foil shaver in one razor.

From our research report, you can see that this product has some of the most important features people looked for in a men’s electric shaver and grooming tools. The compared rating frequency in our research report shows a very steady rate of positive rating reviews with 10 in the first 64 days, next 10 at the 188-day mark and the 3rd set of 10 at 201 days.

Although the Remington ZF8700 has some more advanced features it still comes in at a price point that is affordable.

Detailed Review:

Remington electric razor: Remington XF8700 Wet & Dry Foil ShaverBattery

This razor gives you the quickest, full charge time at only 90 minutes to the full charge capacity of 60 minutes. The battery life the Remington XF8700 was the best of all the Remington electric shavers we tested for battery performance.

Not only does it have the longest battery life, but offers a quick 5-minute charge good for one shave for those days when you forgot to charge it.

What I love about this more advanced model is that we get a large digital display showing how much battery life remains, so you know when your razor is going to need charging – before it dies.

Performance

This shaver is a Wet/Dry model and comes with WETech technology we loved in our No. 1 pick so we can still use in the shower, with gels and foams, or as a traditional dry razor.

With the Remington XF8700, you get AccuCut blades made of surgical quality steel that is designed to lessen vibrations with a quieter shave. Their PivotAssistPlus action allows the razor to glide and hug to your face and neck at different contours and a unique LiftLogic Foil system to cut and in different directions and at different hair lengths to ensure the longer hair and shortest stubble are all cut in one pass.

The Active Hybrid Technology, and the Smart Edge gives us elements of a rotary razor with elements of a foil shaver in one electric razor. This new exclusive design has been created to trim both long and short hairs in one motion or pass. I found that I got a decently close shave in a hurry and that is great when you are running late for work or a dinner.

Included Accessories

This shaver includes the built-in pop-up trimmer for easy touch-ups of sideburns, mustache, and beard. Though this model does not come with a travel case, the charging base doubles as a cover for the foil blade top, with an on/off lock to make transporting it easier and give peace of mind the razor cannot turn on in your suitcase or bag.

Pros

  • Wet/Dry
  • Easy to Clean
  • Foil & Rotary technology in one razor
  • Best Battery Life & Recharge Time
  • Quick 5-minute Charging Feature
  • Large Digital Display
  • Good for Sensitive Skin

Cons

  • More expensive
  • No Grooming accessories or Travel Case

Get It On Amazon

Best Corded or Cordless Razor

This foil shaver boasts of a 60 mins battery life that charges in 2 hours, pivot & flex technology for a closer shave, plus a pop-up trimmer for detailing sideburns & thick growth.

The Remington F5-5800 Foil Shaver has been developed keeping its innovative and technically creative elements to ensure that we experience a great shave. This model includes new Interceptor technology to more easily adjust to facial curves.

Battery

This unit can be used corded or cordless and includes the 5-minute quick charge. A full battery charge is achieved in only 2 hours, one of the better times we have seen in our research.

The battery life on a full charge is up to 60 minutes of cordless runtime. We love the idea that a traveler or a business person can take the Remington F5-8500 razor with them without having any worries because of the long battery life.

Performance

This model has a durable stainless-steel body construction and integrated FlexFoil technology. The new Interceptor shaving technology uses adjustable blade heights to fit the face along the angles and curves for a smoother shave in one pass.

This new advanced F5-8500 includes the pivot and flex technology and is a good option for those of us with sensitive skins. The built-in pop-up trimmer in this model was very easy to manage, and I could work swiftly on detailing sideburns and thick growth.

Maintenance

The pivot and flex technology we appreciate for shaving performance also offers easier cleaning and maintenance. Even though the F5-5800 is not a wet model, it can be rinsed under water after your shave and left to dry. You should not use the razor again after rinsing until completely dried.

Pros

  • Corded or Cordless

No. 6: Remington PR1240 R4 Power Series Rotary Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver Review

Remington impressed us with this creative rotary shaver that provides convenience with class.

Battery Life

Convenient Pick

product

Remington PR1240 R4 Rotary Shaver

Get It On Amazon

Impressive Power & Convenience

This rotary shaver combines the PowerFlex 360 & Active Contour Technology features to provide comfortable shave in less time. Also comes with pop-up trimmer for grooming facial hair.

Impressive was the better than average battery; a four-hour charge provides a consistent cordless 45-minute run time before recharging is required. This model does not offer plug-in operation or a quick charge feature, so that was a downside when you need a shave but have forgotten to charge it.

Performance

Remington PR1240 R4 Power Series Rotary Shaver has three rotary blade shavers that work at varying heights easily cutting longer hairs and shave stubble for a smooth shave in less time.

I liked the results of the PowerFlex 360° combined with Remington’s Active Contour technology, it provides a comfortable shave and gets maximum skin contact in one-pass even along the jawline. The pop-up trimmer included in this model made for easy grooming of facial hair and small areas.

Pros

  • Precision Cut Heads
  • Pop-up Trimmer
  • PowerFlex 360°
  • Active Contour technology
  • Battery runtime is up to 45 minutes
  • Requires only a 4-hour charge.

Cons

  • No quick charge feature
  • Cannot be used corded
  • Expensive.

No. 7: Remington PF7300 F3 Comfort Series Foil Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver Review

Elegant & Ergonomic

product

Remington PF7300 F3

Get It On Amazon

Designed & Engineered for Comfort

This foil shaver boasts of its Constant Contour technology & Flex Foil technology that ensures each corner & curve of your face is covered for a more efficient & comfortable shave.

The unique Remington F3 is designed and engineered in a way that provides the user with the experience of a lifetime. The company has said that the “F3 was designed while keeping you (users) in mind” and we believe they did, and did it right.

Battery

Users liked the large LED battery charge indicator and a comfortable ergonomic feel in your hand, but at this more expensive price point, the battery could have been improved upon. On a full charge, you will only get up to 30 minutes of runtime.

Performance

The Remington F3 uses newly developed Constant Contour technology that helps the foil to flex much easily. This Flex Foil technology helps in covering each and every corner and curve of the face with efficiency.

I liked how quiet my shave experience seemed compared with the other model. This new F3 model uses a Quiet Drive Advanced motor that lessens the vibrations about 20% from previous models, giving you a quieter more comfortable shave. This new upgrade from the previous F2 version is slightly larger and heavier; I did not like the way it gripped in my palm as much as some of our other picks but it is one of the lower-priced models which makes it still a good pick.

Although this model does not allow wet use which is preferential for those of us with skin sensitivity, the foil shaver is still one of the better options on the market to reduce razor bumps and redness.

Pros

  • Quiet Drive Advanced Motor for less vibrating
  • Enhanced ergonomics
  • Pop-up detail trimmer
  • LED charge indicator
  • Low Price

Cons

  • No WetTech technology
  • Slightly larger and heavier than previous model
  • Battery Run-time is less than average at only 30 minutes

No. 8: Remington XF8550 Wet & Dry Foil Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver Review

Efficient Pick

product

Remington XF8550 Foil Shaver

Get It On Amazon

Best Dual Head Shaver

The blend of rotary & foil razor has efficient AccuCut surgical blades, impressive battery life plus quick charge option, letting you have a full shave in as short as a 5 minute charge.

I noticed right away, as did most of our topglobalbrand.com team and testers, that this is very similar to our No. 4 pick, the Remington XF8700. Using a blend of the rotary system with foil shaving to provide one the best dual head shavers.

Battery Life

This model offered one of the better rechargeable batteries of our electric shaver picks. You need only two hours to achieve a full 50-minute charge. And Remington included the quick charge feature we loved, I only had to plug in for 5-minutes and was able to complete a full shave. Great feature for those of us who forget to plug it in. It still does not offer corded/plugged in shaving as an option, but the quick charge works great in a pinch.

Performance & Features

All the important features from our No. 4 pick are here, like the Active Hybrid Technology and AccuCut Blades. This model comes in at a slightly lower price making it more a more economical choice. It retained the same ergonomic palm grip and performed very well Wet and Dry because it includes the Smart Edge to flex and bend as you shave. You will also still get a built-in pop-up trimmer for detail grooming, although we are seeing this more as a basic included feature.

Remington XF8550 includes their PivotAssistPlus action and LiftLogic Foil system that we found in the XF8700, but at the lower price point you have to give up the LCD Digital display so you can monitor when you need to plug in again. I don’t know if I need the LCD Digital display for the extra 20% price point of Pick No. 4, but it all comes down to preference.

At this lower price point, you will also lose the travel feature, in the XF8550 the charging base does not convert to a travel cover.

Pros

  • SmartEdge Rotary and Foil shaving combination
  • Battery run time of up to 50 minutes
  • Quick Charge Feature
  • Wet/Dry option

Cons

  • More Expensive
  • No Travel case or accessories
  • Difficult to handle

No. 9: Remington PR1235 R3 Power Series Rotary Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver, Black Review

Low Cost Pick

product

Remington PR1235 R3 Power Series

Get It On Amazon

Best Basic Dry Razor

This dry razor combines the PowerFlex 360 & Active Contour Technology to deliver a good contouring shave across the skin, making it easy to manipulate around the curved areas.

The R3 Power Rotary Shaver is a part of Remington’s powerful series produced specifically for men’s’ grooming. I thought it provided a smooth, comfortable and high-quality shave. It has been designed with a slightly larger handle but is very lightweight and did not feel awkward or hard to hold.

Battery

In this low-cost model, you lose out on battery power. I did get the advertised 30 minutes of cordless shave time on a full charge, where some other models didn’t hold up on battery promises, but the charging time is bad, bad, bad. You will need to remember to charge this Remington electric razor religiously. It takes 16 hours to get a full charge with no quick charge feature and no ability to use the razor while it is plugged in. The PR1235 is one of the more affordable razor options, but there are higher pick ones, like the Budget Pick No. 3 Remington PG6025 All-In-1 that was still able to deliver up to 60 minutes of battery life in just 4 hours.

The shaver features a battery light indicating the unit is charging when plugged in, so you will know when it has completed the long charging cycle. Again, the charging light on this model is not very useful because it takes so long to charge; it will be like watching a pot of water and waiting for it to boil.

Performance & Features

As a basic dry razor, this fit the bill, offering a low price point with a traditional three rotating pivot head construction. Remington’s ActiveContour and PowerFlex 360˚ are what makes this seemingly basic traditional electric shaver a step up. Good contouring and movement across the skin, easy to navigate around the jawline and neck.

Pros

  • LED Charge Indicator
  • PowerFlex 360°-ActiveContour Technology
  • Low Price

Cons

  • 16-Hour Charging Time
  • Battery Life only 30 minutes
  • Not Wet/Dry

No. 10: Remington PF7500 F5 Comfort Series Foil Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver

Super Comfortable

product

Remington PF7500 F5 Comfort Series

Get It On Amazon

Best Mid-range Dry Electric Razor

This foil razor is ideal for sensitive skin with its pivot & flex construction & dual flexing foils that deliver a smooth shave, plus a QuietDrive Motor for a quieter shave.

Our last pick, the Remington PF7500 F5 is part of the comfort series, a foil razor for less irritation. I have always been a fan of the foil shaver system having sensitive skin it is more comfortable but this model did not have the wet/dry feature.

Battery Power

The battery power was consistent and provides an extended cordless usage of 60 minutes. I had to put this model on the top ten as it is one of the few that can be used cordless or corded. Forgot to charge your razor, no problem, just plug it in, and you are ready. A really great feature to me, even better than the 5-minute quick charge cause sometimes you just don’t have that extra 5 minutes. They did not leave off the charge indicator light, but now you do not need to worry about whether you plugged in your razor the night before or not.

Performance & Features

Priced in the mid-range of the Remington electric razor models, you get a few more features that are simply nice. The dual flexing foils are engineered in such an efficient way that they remain close to the skin, ensuring smooth shave with the Pivot and Flex construction.

With their Intercept Shave Technology to pre-trim longer hairs reducing the pulling and snagging while you shave.

This F5 foil shaver also integrated the QuietDrive Motor for fewer vibrations and a quieter shave. With fewer vibrations and the Intercept Shave Technology, it did work to help you forget you are using a dry razor.

The built-in pop-up trimmer which is becoming standard does allow for easy rinsing under the water to clean which some of the other Dry models did not offer.

Pros

  • Cordless or Corded
  • 60-minute battery life
  • QuietDrive Motor
  • Pop-Up Trimmer

Cons

  • No Wet use
  • Average Cost
  • Few Features

Future Advancements to Look Forward to

We are still awaiting the availability of electric razors with more run time and less charging time. We also find many of us are still looking for that perfect barbershop shave at home; and though we are close, it still isn’t perfect.

As we follow the razor market in the future, topglobalbrand.com will bring you updates and reviews on the new trends and products in hopes of finding the perfect comfort grip, better battery life combined with corded shaver option, new advances in blades and cutting technology to reduce the irritation and friction on our skin.

Tips for Care & Maintenance

Electric razors over the decades have been improved, in design and build, to last for years if cared for properly.

To get the most out of your Remington Electric Razor investment you only need to put in a little time and care. Take time to clean your razor regularly. If you choose a wet version, it is very easy to just rinse it off in the water when you are done with your shave.

Take precautions when you see signs of overheating and turn off the razor and unplug from charging base so the motor rests.

Don’t leave your electric shaver plugged in or the charger on for longer than the recommended charging guide to preserve the battery life at the optimal level.

I know people don’t think about the little bumps or drops that happen when shaving, its wet and your hand gets shaving gel on it then..oops… The razor slips into the sink; you may not think this was a hard drop but these little bangs over time can cause your razor to function improperly or the blades to not sit straight and flush.

If you drop your razor and it is not working as smooth as it used to – be safe and discard it.

I have had razors that begun pulling or tugging on my skin and many may think it is time to buy a new one but that is not so. As a good barber can tell you, just oil the blades and your razor will work like new. But only use the proper oiling liquids don’t use home-based cooking or greasing oils.

You will find a little time and care will make your investment and razor last for many years.
