Impressive was the better than average battery; a four-hour charge provides a consistent cordless 45-minute run time before recharging is required. This model does not offer plug-in operation or a quick charge feature, so that was a downside when you need a shave but have forgotten to charge it.

Performance

Remington PR1240 R4 Power Series Rotary Shaver has three rotary blade shavers that work at varying heights easily cutting longer hairs and shave stubble for a smooth shave in less time.

I liked the results of the PowerFlex 360° combined with Remington’s Active Contour technology, it provides a comfortable shave and gets maximum skin contact in one-pass even along the jawline. The pop-up trimmer included in this model made for easy grooming of facial hair and small areas.

Battery

Users liked the large LED battery charge indicator and a comfortable ergonomic feel in your hand, but at this more expensive price point, the battery could have been improved upon. On a full charge, you will only get up to 30 minutes of runtime.

Performance

The Remington F3 uses newly developed Constant Contour technology that helps the foil to flex much easily. This Flex Foil technology helps in covering each and every corner and curve of the face with efficiency.

I liked how quiet my shave experience seemed compared with the other model. This new F3 model uses a Quiet Drive Advanced motor that lessens the vibrations about 20% from previous models, giving you a quieter more comfortable shave. This new upgrade from the previous F2 version is slightly larger and heavier; I did not like the way it gripped in my palm as much as some of our other picks but it is one of the lower-priced models which makes it still a good pick.

Although this model does not allow wet use which is preferential for those of us with skin sensitivity, the foil shaver is still one of the better options on the market to reduce razor bumps and redness.

I noticed right away, as did most of our topglobalbrand.com team and testers, that this is very similar to our No. 4 pick, the Remington XF8700. Using a blend of the rotary system with foil shaving to provide one the best dual head shavers.

Battery Life

This model offered one of the better rechargeable batteries of our electric shaver picks. You need only two hours to achieve a full 50-minute charge. And Remington included the quick charge feature we loved, I only had to plug in for 5-minutes and was able to complete a full shave. Great feature for those of us who forget to plug it in. It still does not offer corded/plugged in shaving as an option, but the quick charge works great in a pinch.

Performance & Features

All the important features from our No. 4 pick are here, like the Active Hybrid Technology and AccuCut Blades. This model comes in at a slightly lower price making it more a more economical choice. It retained the same ergonomic palm grip and performed very well Wet and Dry because it includes the Smart Edge to flex and bend as you shave. You will also still get a built-in pop-up trimmer for detail grooming, although we are seeing this more as a basic included feature.

Remington XF8550 includes their PivotAssistPlus action and LiftLogic Foil system that we found in the XF8700, but at the lower price point you have to give up the LCD Digital display so you can monitor when you need to plug in again. I don’t know if I need the LCD Digital display for the extra 20% price point of Pick No. 4, but it all comes down to preference.

At this lower price point, you will also lose the travel feature, in the XF8550 the charging base does not convert to a travel cover.

No. 9: Remington PR1235 R3 Power Series Rotary Shaver, Men’s Electric Razor, Electric Shaver, Black Review

The R3 Power Rotary Shaver is a part of Remington’s powerful series produced specifically for men’s’ grooming. I thought it provided a smooth, comfortable and high-quality shave. It has been designed with a slightly larger handle but is very lightweight and did not feel awkward or hard to hold.

Battery

In this low-cost model, you lose out on battery power. I did get the advertised 30 minutes of cordless shave time on a full charge, where some other models didn’t hold up on battery promises, but the charging time is bad, bad, bad. You will need to remember to charge this Remington electric razor religiously. It takes 16 hours to get a full charge with no quick charge feature and no ability to use the razor while it is plugged in. The PR1235 is one of the more affordable razor options, but there are higher pick ones, like the Budget Pick No. 3 Remington PG6025 All-In-1 that was still able to deliver up to 60 minutes of battery life in just 4 hours.

The shaver features a battery light indicating the unit is charging when plugged in, so you will know when it has completed the long charging cycle. Again, the charging light on this model is not very useful because it takes so long to charge; it will be like watching a pot of water and waiting for it to boil.

Performance & Features

As a basic dry razor, this fit the bill, offering a low price point with a traditional three rotating pivot head construction. Remington’s ActiveContour and PowerFlex 360˚ are what makes this seemingly basic traditional electric shaver a step up. Good contouring and movement across the skin, easy to navigate around the jawline and neck.

Our last pick, the Remington PF7500 F5 is part of the comfort series, a foil razor for less irritation. I have always been a fan of the foil shaver system having sensitive skin it is more comfortable but this model did not have the wet/dry feature.

Battery Power

The battery power was consistent and provides an extended cordless usage of 60 minutes. I had to put this model on the top ten as it is one of the few that can be used cordless or corded. Forgot to charge your razor, no problem, just plug it in, and you are ready. A really great feature to me, even better than the 5-minute quick charge cause sometimes you just don’t have that extra 5 minutes. They did not leave off the charge indicator light, but now you do not need to worry about whether you plugged in your razor the night before or not.

Performance & Features

Priced in the mid-range of the Remington electric razor models, you get a few more features that are simply nice. The dual flexing foils are engineered in such an efficient way that they remain close to the skin, ensuring smooth shave with the Pivot and Flex construction.

With their Intercept Shave Technology to pre-trim longer hairs reducing the pulling and snagging while you shave.

This F5 foil shaver also integrated the QuietDrive Motor for fewer vibrations and a quieter shave. With fewer vibrations and the Intercept Shave Technology, it did work to help you forget you are using a dry razor.

The built-in pop-up trimmer which is becoming standard does allow for easy rinsing under the water to clean which some of the other Dry models did not offer.
